Macroeconomics is developing a unique quarterly forecasting model for construction (residential, non-residential & engineering) in Australia. It forecasts both real and nominal outlays, over the short term (five years) and longer term (twenty years) consistent with our macroeconomic model of the Australian Economy (ME-BARRIE). These forecasts are brought together in our comprehensive Australian Construction Bulletin publication released four times each year, within two weeks of the latest set of Australian Bureau of Statistics national accounts. This publication provides comprehensive analysis of construction activity in each state & territory and by each sector for the private and public sector, including the broader policy implications of current activity levels over time.
