Macroeconomics produces quarterly forecasts of the Australian economic activity by state and industry over the short term (5 years) and longer term (twenty years) consistent with our macroeconomic model of the Australian Economy (ME-BARRIE). These forecasts are brought together in our comprehensive Australian Economic Outlook Bulletin publication released four times per year, three weeks after the ABS release of the national accounts. This publication provides comprehensive analysis of the drivers of economics activity in each state & territory and by each sector for the private and public sector, including the broader policy implications of current activity levels over time.
